Moonsteps privacy policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
Moonsteps is a countdown app for children that is private by design.
What we collect
Nothing. Moonsteps collects no personal data, no usage data and no identifiers, from children or from grown-ups.
Where your countdowns live
Everything you or your child create in Moonsteps (countdowns, popped moons and settings) is stored only on your device, in the app’s own local storage. It is never uploaded, synced or shared. Deleting the app deletes this data, and the app’s own “Delete all data” button does the same.
Network use
Moonsteps makes no network requests. It works entirely offline and contains no accounts, no sync, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no third-party software that communicates with the internet.
Children’s privacy
Moonsteps is designed for children aged 4 to 10 and follows the Apple Kids Category requirements. Because the app collects nothing and sends nothing, no data about any child ever leaves the device. Settings and countdown management sit behind a parental gate.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Moonsteps ever changes any of the above (for example, to add an optional backup feature), this policy will be updated first and the change will be described in the App Store release notes.
